Westchester Elder Law Attorneys Anthony J. Enea and Michael P. Enea to Shed Light on Estate Taxes in Lunch & Learn Program

Westchester County, N.Y. (March 9, 2023) – On Wednesday, March 29, Westchester County elder law attorneys Anthony J. Enea, Esq. and Michael P. Enea, Esq. of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, with offices in White Plains and Somers, N.Y., will present Avoiding the New York “Estate Tax Cliff” as part of the firm’s 2023 Lunch & Learn Series. The free educational program is open to the public – though space is limited.

The program, held from noon to 1:30pm at the firm’s White Plains location, takes an in-depth look at how to avoid the tax implications of New York’s “estate tax cliff.” Attendees will learn effective planning techniques, from the role of completed gift trusts to disclaimer and “Santa Clause” provisions.

Those interested are encouraged to register early by calling 914-948-1500 to reserve their spot. A light lunch and refreshments are included.

“New York State has a potentially onerous estate tax, making it crucial for residents whose assets are near or over the exemption amount to plan ahead,” said Anthony J. Enea, the firm’s managing member. “There are multiple solutions to avoid New York’s estate tax – from lifetime and charitable gifting to disclaimer and life insurance trusts. The key is planning early.”

Held on the last Wednesday of each month, Lunch & Learn programs shed light on a variety of important elder law and estate planning topics. Future programs include:
