Biography

Michael P. Enea, Esq. is an associate attorney at Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, where he is dedicated to helping individuals and families plan confidently for the future. His practice spans a wide range of estate and elder law matters, including wills, trusts and estates, as well as strategies to preserve and protect family assets through effective tax planning. Known for his thoughtful, client-centered approach, Mr. Enea works closely with clients to understand their goals and explain complex legal concepts clearly, ensuring they feel informed and confident at every stage of the planning process. His practice also includes business formation and corporate law.

Mr. Enea is currently completing his Master of Laws in Taxation at New York University, further deepening his knowledge in the areas of estate and trust taxation. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and Florida. Mr. Enea earned his B.A. in Legal Studies, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University, and his J.D., summa cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as an associate managing editor of the St. John’s Law Review.

An engaged member of the legal community, Mr. Enea is active in the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates and Elder Law & Special Needs Sections, as well as the American Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association. He has been recognized as a Rising Star in Thomson Reuters' Super Lawyers Metro New York list for 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Prior to joining Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, Mr. Enea gained valuable experience as an associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he advised public and private companies and financial sponsors in connection with mergers and acquisitions. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Paul Crotty of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.

Committed to giving back, Mr. Enea serves on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, supporting families with children facing serious medical challenges.
