Best Lawyers Names Anthony J. Enea a “Lawyer of the Year” in Elder Law

He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 22nd edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of Elder Law and Trusts and Estates.

The “Lawyer of the Year” recognition is reserved for a single lawyer in each practice specialty within a designated metropolitan area.

A strong leader in Westchester’s legal community, Mr. Enea is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation, a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association, and a past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the Above the Bar Awards, Mr. Enea’s practice areas include elder law; Medicaid planning and applications; special needs planning; wills, trusts and estates; guardianships and estate litigation. He is also fluent in Italian.

He was recognized last year as Best Lawyers’ 2015 Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year.” Mr. Enea has also been named as one of Westchester County’s “Super Lawyers” annually since 2007 and is an “AV” Rated Preeminent Attorney (Martindale-Hubbell, since 2002).

Mr. Enea is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a past president of the organization’s New York Chapter. He is a Fellow of the New York Bar Foundation and serves as a board member of the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services. Mr. Enea has achieved a Lead Counsel Rating in Elder Law by the Lead Counsel Review Board.
